An internet connection is needed only for sharing, syncing and barcode lookups. Everything else — including the 3D designer — works with no connection at all.
No. The app is fully usable without one, and nothing leaves your device until you sign in. You only need an account to share an inventory with somebody else, or to keep several of your own devices in step.
On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password? Reset it and enter your email address. We email you a code — there is no link to click. Type the code into the app together with your new password. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, look in your spam folder. Your data is untouched while you do this — the copy on your device carries on working.
Not directly, at the moment. The route is to create an account with the new address, invite it into your household, promote it to owner, and then delete the old account. If you have a subscription, read the warning in Plans & billing first.
Yes. Signing out stops syncing; it never deletes anything from your device. Households that came from the cloud become read-only local copies until you sign back in.
Sharing needs a Cloud plan on the owner’s account. See Plans & billing.
A household can have as many members as its plan allows — two on Cloud 2, five on Cloud 5. The owner can remove a member, or move to a larger plan in More → Subscription → Change your plan.
Work through these in order — the first two account for almost every report:
The most recent edit wins, and the app tells you when that happened rather than resolving it silently. The sync summary reports the conflict and names who won; the losing version can be put back from the item’s own history.
Your device keeps the inventory as it stood at that moment, as a local copy you can still read and edit. It simply stops receiving their updates.
More → Settings → Data → Export writes your whole inventory as JSON — an open format with nothing proprietary in it, which imports back into the app and can be read by any programming language or converted to a spreadsheet.
| If you | Do this |
|---|---|
| Have an account | Install the app on the new device and sign in. Everything downloads, photos included. |
| Do not have an account | More → Settings → Data → Backup on the old device, move the file across however you like, then Restore on the new one. |
Make sure you are running the current version and then restart the app once. Backups carry the photo files, but a backup made on one platform records file paths in that platform’s format; the app repairs those on the next start. If they are still missing after a restart, write to us.
In its own private storage on the device, as an ordinary database file plus a folder of photos. If you sign in, a copy is also held on our servers in Stockholm — see the privacy policy.
Everything except sharing and syncing, up to 20 items and 10 locations. The designers, the 3D view, scanning, labels, alerts, backup and export are all in the free tier and are not time-limited.
| Plan | Price | What it gives you |
|---|---|---|
| Offline | €14.99 once | Unlimited items and locations, still entirely on your own device with no account. |
| Cloud 2 | €5.99 a month or €49.99 a year | Unlimited items and locations, sync across your devices, and a shared household of up to 2 people. |
| Cloud 5 | €8.99 a month or €74.99 a year | The same, for up to 5 people. |
Prices are in euro; your store may show them in your own currency.
Yes. The plan follows your account, not the device, so it covers your phone, tablet, Mac and PC at once. Only the person whose subscription covers the household pays; the other members do not. Plans are bought on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android — buying inside the Windows app is not available yet, but a plan on your account works there.
More → Subscription → Change your plan. A change takes effect straight away, in either direction, and the time you have already paid for carries over to the new plan.
When the subscription covering a cloud household ends, it keeps working for 14 days and its row in More → Account counts down: Subscription ended — 9 days to renew. After that the household is locked: Home, Items, Locations and Scan send you to More, which offers See plans and Back up now. Nothing is deleted. Renewing opens it again, and backup, export and account deletion keep working while it is locked.
Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from, so cancel there — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS and macOS, or Play Store → Payments and subscriptions on Android. Cancelling stops future billing; you keep the plan until the period you have paid for ends, and a cloud household then has the 14 days described above.
Open More → Subscription and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the app with the same account, and to the store with the same Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase.
The app checks two public product databases, and neither covers everything — own-brand and non-food items are often missing. Choose Add to inventory and give it a name yourself; the barcode is stored with the item, so it will be recognised from then on.
3D is drawn by the processor rather than the graphics card, so a busy building is more work than a single room. Two things help: open a single room or a single piece of furniture rather than the whole building, and turn the item-count badges down with the Counts button. The picture sharpens by itself a moment after you stop moving.
Low-stock and expiry reminders are generated on your device, so check that notifications are allowed for ItemAtlas3D in your operating system’s settings, and that More → Settings → Notifications is on. On macOS a reminder raised while the app is in front appears in Notification Centre rather than as a banner.
Turn the printer on and hold it near the device, allow the Bluetooth permission when asked, then tap Scan on the label screen.
It has to be a NIIMBOT. Label printing speaks the NIIMBOT Bluetooth protocol and nothing else, so another make will never appear in the list however well it is paired with your phone. It works on Android and iOS only — not on Windows or a Mac — and the label cannot be saved or shared as a file. An item’s QR code can be shared as an image (item page → QR → Share), which is the only way to get a code onto an ordinary printer.
If it is still placed in a designer or on a floor plan, the app refuses and says that something else still refers to it. Open the plan it is on, select it, choose Unplace, and then delete it.
Restart the device first. If it happens again, send us the diagnostics — see below.
The app keeps a small local log of unexpected errors, and it is by far the most useful thing you can send us.
It is a small target and taps that miss it do not count, so tap it deliberately rather than quickly. Nothing visible happens until the seventh.
Please do — a good deal of the app exists because somebody asked. Email support@infinet.gr and describe the problem you are trying to solve rather than the button you imagine; it usually leads somewhere better.
